PURPOSE OF TACHOMETER
 Pulse counter (tachometer) SIM-05t-1-17 is designed to measure and display on the digital display motor shaft speed in rev/min, as well as for counting the total motor rotation time (operating time) and the number of inclusions (number of starts). When the engine speed reaches zero, counting operating time is suspended. The results are saved in non-volatile memory during a power failure. The information storage time is not limited.
 
DESIGN OF TACHOMETER
 The couter is mounted on a smooth surface.  A material of case - impact polystyrene. The front panel has a six-digit indicator of red illuminationand a button to switch indication modes. In the counter below of case are located hermetic inputs for the output of wires that are connected to the equipment. For installation the device it is necessary to secure it with screws and bolts in the hole of the case, that are located at the corners of the case. 
 As an extenal device can be used optical, inductive, capacitive or contact sensors, that having an output transistor NPN or PNP open collector keys.

OPERATION OF TACHOMETER
 At power the counter indicates speed of shaft rotation. According to frequency of pulse follow from a sensor, wich controls a label on the shaft of motor, is calculated the shaft rotation speed (revolutions per minure) and display the current value on the indicator. Button "" on the front panel allows you to see the engine operating time and number of starts. Number of involved indicator digits, that set aside for indication of hours, minutes and seconds, is determined by the number of operated hours. On the indicator digits set aside for hours/minutes/seconds, are separated by dots. As the number of digits, occupied by the counted clock, location of dividing point moves to the right and, accordingly, is reduced the number of least significant bits, originally set aside for indication units of seconds, tens of seconds, units of minutes and tens of minutes. 
 Resetting the total operating time and number of inclusions is produced by contact closure JP2 on the power board in the following order:
     - Remove the power from the counter.
     - Remove jumper from contacts JP2.
     - Apply power to the counter.
     - Remove power from the counter set the jumper to the contacts JP2.
 Beginning of count down starts when you turn on the power.
 
 WARNING: Connecting of counter and setting the jumper must be carried out only after power is removed
