PURPOSE OF THE DEVICE
 Protection device UZM-3-63K is a kind of three-phase voltage monitoring relay with built-in powerful three-phase polarized relay, allowing to switch high currents. The device contains control function of the mains frequency. This allows you to use it to turn on/off the load when operating on an autonomous generator, as well as to protect the various electrical equipment from the mains voltage alarm. The device provides protection equipment (industrial, administrative and housing purpose) from the damaging effects of pulsed power surges caused by the actuation of closely spaced and connected to the same network of electric motors, magnetic starters or electrical surges on the TS (transformer substations), preventing equipment damage. Varistor protection for each phase ensures that the operability when subjected to surges duration of 8/20mks amplitude of up to 6500A.
 The device does not replace other protection devices (circuit breakers, surge arresters, RCDs, etc..). When short-term loss of mains voltage below the set value, load disconnection occurs, it does not disable the user and re-inclusion of a set delay time.
 
DESIGN OF THE DEVICE
  The device is mounted on a DIN rail-DIN 35 mm (GOST R IEC 60715-2003) with a front connecting wires power switched circuits. Terminals of device provide connectivity wires up to 35mm2. Recommended conductor cross-section are shown in the table below. On the front panel there are: rotary switch "Umax" (maximum voltage), rotary switch "Umin" (minimum voltage), rotary switch reclosing time, the red LED «U>» excess of line voltage, yellow LED "" connect the load to the consumer, the red LED «U<» reduction of the line voltage below the set value, the three green LED «L1», «L2», «L3» presence of linear phase voltages.
 Terminals for input buses are marked N, L1, L2, L3 and the inscription ENTER. load connection terminals are marked N, U, V, W and inscription EXIT. The terminals for connecting the remote control are marked Y1 and Y2.
 
OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
  Connect the equipment according to the circuits connection. Verify that contact  of the terminal remote terminal is in closed state, otherwise the device will not connect the load indicators, in this indicators «> U», «<U» and «» will alternately switch.
  After voltage supply to the input power supply, included green LEDs «L1», «L2», «L3». If input voltage is within the specified value and the correct phase sequence, connected load is switched on and the yellow LED "". If the voltage is below the set value the red LED «U<» and load shedding occurs, the yellow LED "" disabled. After restoring the voltage at the input, connect the load and the inclusion of yellow indicator "" occurs after the reference time delay set by the user. Operation at the value of the input voltage is higher than the value of the same. The device monitors the phase sequence, the reduction or excess mains frequency and voltage difference in the phases of greater than 25%.
 
Operation of indicators «>U», «<U», depending alarm situation:
  • Breach of phase sequence - alternate inclusion indicators.
  • Increase or decrease in power frequency more than 55 Hz, 45 Hz or less - often simultaneously inclusion indicators.
  • When a voltage difference of more than 25% between any phases - slow simultaneous inclusion indicators.
 
 When the network of high voltage pulses on the input protection varistor shunts pulses in any phase at the neutral conductor N, excluding the passage of the pulse to the load. The diagram device operation is shown below.
 
WARNING: At operation of the device breaks all - phase bus. Zero wire (N) passes on through for ease of installation and not switches. Connect the neutral wire to terminal N is must!
